Brakes are the No. 1 Foodservice distributor in the United Kingdom and is continuingly expanding their national footprint
of distribution centres. Due to recent growth and the successful win of contracts, Brakes is opening a brand new 200,000
sq. ft. warehouse in Reading which will employ 500+ employees with a fleet of over 150 vehicles. Brakes has an immediate
requirement for a Site Engineer to establish and implement site facility plans. Reporting to the General Manager, the Site Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance of the entire distribution
centre facility through the facilities team and external contractors whilst ensuring costs meet the budgetary remit. The
Site Engineer will manage and review all site contracts and be aware that work must comply with company standards.
Managing the site facilities team, the Site Engineer will be responsible for site recovery plans, ensure all

The Position:
You will be part of a team responsible for completing all preventative maintenance work on site on time, and ensuring unplanned downtime is kept to an absolute minimum with regard to mechanical and/or electrical failures. Detecting and diagnosing electrical and mechanical problems whether existing or potential on all equipment. The role will see you involved in the install or modification of all existing equipment on site as and when required. It will also see you ensuring factory services are in very good order and taking responsibility for good housekeeping around electrical sub-station and making sure distribution panels are kept to the highest standard.
